General Rules

  1. Competition is open to all amateur gardeners and designers
  2. Exhibitioners may enter more than one category. Only one entry per category except single blooms where different specimens will be accepted if each entry is of a different variety, cultivar, type or color.
  3. Please drop off entries on Sunday, July 3rd between 8:30 and 10:00am at the Town Green Stage. Entry cards will be available to fill out for each entry/category. Please identify your entry to the best of your ability. Common names will be accepted, however botanical names are greatly encouraged. The Windsor Garden Club members may be able to assist you in identifying the botanical name.
  4. Judging will begin at 10am and awards will be announced at noon. Please plan to leave your entries for the day so that others can view your handiwork. Please pick up your entries at 2pm. Any entries not picked up at 2pm will unfortunately have to be discarded.
  5. Each category will be awarded a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner and as many honorable mentions as judges warrant. Overall Best of Show award will be given for each Division (Adult and Youth).
  6. Windsor Garden Club will not be responsible for damage or loss of property, nor for injury to
    person/s, but will exercise due care for the protection of all exhibits. All containers should be labeled on the bottom with exhibiters name.

Division I: Adult exhibits

  1. Each design must have been created and placed by the exhibitor/s.
  2. No Artificial flowers, foliage, fruits or vegetables are permitted.
  3. Some fresh plant material must be used in every design exhibit.
  4. Dry plant material may be used along with fresh plant material.
